I don’t know anyone who stopped at a single walkthrough. Undertale is a kind of a game that stays in your heart forever.
Except aggressive, neutral, and peaceful endings, you can try multiple combinations of decisions with each creature. Everything is connected with detailed and complicated causation, so it’s quite difficult to complete it in the same way 2 times in a row. Undertale full game consists of numerous story threads. It’s hard to give a negative credit for that in this Undertale review because the game makes you love it for every pixel. At first levels, it seems easy, but later you will feel the real tension. You have to control a heart icon that represents the protagonist’s soul and pull it around the field to dodge attacks. Everything is simple and clear, except for the bullet-hell encounters. Undertale latest version controls are pretty hardcore, but approachable anyway.

When you walk through the Underworld, you meet various monsters, which are a lot like real people. Though the universe is linear, you can affect the course of events dramatically. Undertale gameplay is based on full freedom of choice. Toby Fox developed the entire design and composed all soundtracks for his game independently. You can see a white monster which shows its emotions, a dialogue window, or a small field on which you have to dodge attacks. In the exploration mode, you travel between isometric 2D locations, while battle encounters with characters are made in retro bullet-hell style. Visuals of Undertale game are inspired by old RPGs like Mother and the Japanese EarthBound.
